QUICK FIRE QUESTIONS WITH REBECCA COLLOMOSSE

Could you briefly introduce yourself?

I’ve been a journalist for more than 20 years and I’ve worked across a range of women’s and business magazines. Indeed, it was my time spent writing true life stories for women’s magazines that first sparked my interest in writing psychological thrillers. I’m currently the editor of three shipping magazines. My first book, He’s Gone, will soon be published and I’m currently writing my second psychological thriller.

Have you always written the same genre?

Yes — my first book is a psychological thriller and my second is in the same genre.

What kind of thrillers do you love?

I love thrillers based on relationships; be that romantic, family or friends.

What is your favourite thriller film?

Jaws.

Where do you get your motivation to write?

I love to write — I’ve wanted to be an author since I was a child. It’s a form of escapism and my imagination is often sparked by reading or hearing something in the media. That leads to an idea that I enjoy mulling over and developing; be that lying in bed at night or having my morning coffee.
